NY Attorney General Defends Ammo Background Checks — Safeguard or Overreach?
New York’s Attorney General Letitia James announced a court victory this week, with the Second Circuit upholding New York’s background check requirement for ammunition purchases.

The law — part of the NY SAFE Act expansion of the CCIA — requires every ammunition sale to go through a background check and an FFL transfer, adding both cost and delay for gun owners.
At NY SAFE, we’ve now transferred over 110,000 rounds of ammunition for customers who were smart enough to order online and save big.
